Collaboration Model

The Data Science Core operates as active scientific co-investigators funded via grant percentage effort, not as an hourly IT shop or fee-for-service facility. We partner from project design through analysis to dissemination. To maximize grant competitiveness, we may be able to provide limited, exploratory pre-award prototyping to generate preliminary figures and demonstrate feasibility to reviewers.

Capabilities & Lifecycle Support

Delivering end-to-end technical, regulatory, and grant support across core areas:

• Genomics & Bioinformatics: Standardized Nextflow pipelines (RNA-seq, variant calling) and cBioPortal data platform analyses/training.
• Secure AI & Machine Learning: Custom ML/NLP workflows and PHI-compliant LLM access via Azure AI Foundry.
• Computer Vision: Medical image feature extraction, segmentation, and classification.
• Multimodal Integration: Combining EHR, molecular, and imaging data for precision medicine.
• Lifecycle Resources: Technical grant text, IRB compliance language, data delivery navigation, and manuscript co-authoring.

How It Works

1. Consult: We review your research goals, assess data availability, and determine project fit.
2. Align: We co-develop the proposal concept, draft a Project Charter, and finalize grant effort.
3. Execute: An assigned data scientist runs the targeted analysis plan and manages HPC resources.
4. Deliver: We translate data into insights, co-author publications, and design future aims.
